Verona – Trento – 11 July 2011

Temperature this morning a bit cooler after last night’s thunderstorm.  After saying goodbye to Federica we set off and immediately joined a traffic jam which took about ½ an hour to clear.  After that it was plain sailing up the autostrada with huge mountains either side.  Despite our exit junction being closed we got off at the next junction and found Hotel America.  Had breakfast there and then room was ready.  Air con – yippee!

Feels a bit cooler here thankfully.  Went for a walk exploring the town which did not take long as it’s not that big and had a relaxing lunch, mainly consisting of a large ice cream.  What a nice place in a lovely location surrounded by mountains.  We are on the 5th floor with a balcony with pots of flowers and a great view.

Sorted out tomorrow’s accommodation and mapped route on Google – what a bore but it saves getting lost en route then traipsing the streets looking for a hotel.  Had pizza and salad for evening meal + wine and beer - €27.  Bed at 11.30.

Ver houseproud here - they even wallpaper the outside walls!
